#Next150

An adaptation of Ojibway writer Richard Wagamese’s award-winning novel, this moving and important drama sheds light on the dark history of Canada’s boarding schools or Indigenous Residential Schools and the indomitable spirit of Indigenous Peoples.

The #NEXT150 campaign was designed to encourage Canadians to think differently about Canada's 150th anniversary and instead focus on the Indigenous Peoples in Canada who have been here since time immemorial. We created a campaign where various influencers around Turtle Island posed a challenge for Canadians to do to participate in Reconciliation. These challenges included a video of the influencer, social campaigns, and writing content and social media postings. We also tracked analytics for the entirety of the campaign to gauge its success.

Animikii’s entire team understood our vision and worked in collaboration with us to foster a meaningful conversation around Reconciliation through the film’s digital media. Thanks to Animikii, we reached hundreds of thousands of people through the digital campaign they developed.” — Indian Horse Film Producers
