For Songhees Nation, the primary goal of their communications strategy was to create and promote new official accounts to expand member engagement. Developing a new account for any organization is challenging, particularly when it comes to organic growth, but through a consistent engagement strategy and cross-promoting with other Songhees Nation organizations and businesses, we were able to grow the new accounts into something that will continue to engage with all Nation members.
At Animikii, we jump at the opportunity to organize communications for Nations not only because we enjoy it but also because it allows the Nation to focus on other aspects of governance that may be prioritized over social media. Social media continues to be one of the primary ways that Nations communicate with their members and the wider community and if we can utilize technology to make this communication faster, clearer, and more accurate, we're 100% on board.
